!MagOpt is a filing system, MOFS, which is designed for use with Magneto-Optical disk drives, but will work just as well with other removable media devices or indeed normal SCSI hard disks - useful if your current SCSIFS:: has run out of drive numbers. It does not support partitioning. Originally, it was written to give removable media support to Acorn's SCSIFS, but will work with any card that supports the Acorn SCSIdriver standard (which is all cards, except for very old Oak ones).
MagOpt provides a new filing system, MOFS::, which can have up to 4 devices, numbered 4 to 7. Which SCSI IDs these are mapped to is set up in the !Run file. Poll changed is supported, which means that like floppies, you can remove disks without dismounting them. If the filer wants a disk back it will ask - just as it does with floppy disks.
A formatter is also provided, complete with a safety feature - it'll only format removable devices, so you can't accidentally format your hard disk!
